Hair and Makeup
Responsible for the designs and styles of hair and make-up looks for all the characters.
On larger productions, hair and makeup may be two separate departments, but they are often grouped, and work closely together on the styling and look of the performers on a film or TV production. Hair and make-up professionals design and create hairstyles and makeup looks that will align with the Director’s vision for the film (this may include ensuring historical or cultural accuracy). On set, they execute these looks, do touch-ups between takes, and ensure hair and makeup continuity for all performers.
