Production Management
Responsible for the logistics and execution of the production process.
Some members of the production management team begin their work in pre-production, working on the budget, hiring the crew, and building the shooting schedule for the film or TV production. During on-set production, they track spending, keep the production office running, and support the director and all the departments in order to ensure the production runs smoothly and on schedule. When the director has a great idea, the Production Manager tells them what it’s going to cost and how long it will take.
